Universal SWR bridge

I am working with les than 1 watt. Is it possible to raise the voltage at REF and FWD by increasing the numer of turns on toroids?

Re: Universal SWR bridge

I just built the SWR bridge and it came out nice and clean, thanks DIZ for a great design. How critical is the 5 watts for calibration purposes? The reason I ask is, that my HF rig will go down to 1 watt or 10 or 100, but not five. I probably could turn down the 10 watt setting internally to 5 watts using my MFJ power meter, but I don't know how accurate it is. Also, if you set it for full scale at 5 watts and the bridge is good for 10 watts, wouldn't ten watts really peg the meter? sorry for the stupid questions but I'm just trying to understand it better.

You can calibrate your max output on the meter(s) for anything up to 10 watts.

Re: Universal SWR bridge

How much current should I expect from this bridge?
What is the minimum wattage that can produce useful results?

Not sure, but folks use anything from a 50 uA to 2mA analog meters for full scale deflection at less thjan 5 watts..
The SWR was designed to handle 10 watts, which it does nicely.  You'll have to redesign the kit for your needs over 10 watts.
